In Uganda most children have access to free primary (elementary) school , but once that is over they have to start paying. This affects girls the most. If a family can only afford to send one child to school, it will most likely be the oldest boy.
One unit covers one year of tuition (three semesters), school supplies, one pair of shoes, a uniform and a school bag. These funds will assist both boys and girls in furthering their education. |
